In this episode, we discussed "Hakkō Ichiu," Japan’s founding philosophy that embodies the wish for world peace. We explored its true meaning—something many of us were never taught after the war—and how it continues to be misunderstood today. We also touched upon the fact that a monument dedicated to this spirit stands in Miyazaki, the legendary setting where the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki were said to be compiled.

Even our hosts, who are in their 60s like us, admitted, "I had no idea." It truly highlighted how much of our history remains unknown, even to those closest to us. It seems that even at this age, there is still so much to learn!
