On November 30th, we held the 31st Sansan-kai in the Peacock Room at the Meiji Kinenkan.

The event was held in two parts. In the first part, we were joined by guests who have appeared on our radio show: Yumi Tsuda, Izumi, and Yoshiko Matsudaira, a descendant of the Mito-Tokugawa lineage. It was a spiritually rich time, featuring fascinating insights into the myths of the Kojiki, the beautiful resonance of the Shinobue (bamboo flute), and Ms. Matsudaira’s "Sora" style of tea ceremony.

The second part featured the dance troupe "Hibiki." The audience was completely mesmerized by their stunning "Oiran" performances, quick-change dances, and overall elegance. It was a truly moving Sansan-kai that provided everyone with a very special experience.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone. Our radio hosts, Mr. Shimizu and Mr. Suyama, also attended. We all gave a big round of applause when Mr. Suyama excitedly shared that he is inspired to start learning the Shinobue!
